Cards of the Noahide Laws

Colorful cards of the Noahide Laws,

for in your purse, of to give them away... make people aware that we can make the world a better place with these Laws. They were given to Adam, and later to Noah. Then, in Noah's time, people were allowed to eat meat. But taken meat from a still living animal was not allowed. That was the extra Law given to Noah. Genesis 9:4.

The front: The 7 Noahide Laws.

The back: Where these Laws can be found in the Torah.

It was a real pleasure to make these cards, the photo is taken from Masada, facing the Dead Sea. I was there in 2017 together with other Noahides. At that moment it was 45 degrees Celsius. But still there was life, see the branches on the photo. How beautiful was that to see!

 Do you want these cards?

Mail to: bouwmanae@gmail.com They cost only a stamp to your address!

Seven Laws to keep.

 Seven Noahide Laws to keep.

We as Noahides keep these laws, which are given at Mount Sinai:

1. No idolatry, believe in the One G'd. There is no other. He, and only He is the Creator of the Universe,

Respect HaShem.

2. Do not blaspheme. His name is holy. He, He, and only He is the Creator of the Universe,

Respect His name.

3. Do not murder. Love life in all it's facets. HaShem gave life to us. He is the Creator of the Universe.

Respect Life.

4. Do not have forbidden relations. One man and one woman is the basis of a happy and healthy family life. There is One Creator of the Universe.

Respect Family Unity.

5. Do not steal. Do not take possessions of others. They belong to the owner and not to the thief.  There is One Creator of the Universe.

Respect Others Property.

6. Do not harm animal life. Be kind to nature. Love the creations of HaShem. He is the Creator of the Universe.

Do Not Eat a Limb of a Still Living Animal.

7. Establish Laws and Courts of Justice. Live by the laws. Praise the Creator of the Universe. Praise HaShem.

Laws of Noah

No Idolatry  –  Believe in Him. There is only Him, and no other. He is the Creator of the Universe.

No Blasphemy  –   Respect and Honor His Name. His Name alone. Respect G'd.

No Murder  –  Respect and Love Life. G'd gives life to us. To you, to me and to all that exists.

No Adultery   –  Respect and Love Your Spouse and Family. They are a beautiful gift, do not damage it.

No Stealing   –   Respect Property of Others. What is property of an other person, it's not meant for you nor for me.

Not Harming Animal Life –  Respect and Love Nature. Do not take a limb of a living animal. Be kind, not cruel.

Live by Law and Courts of Justice

When you see these Laws Of Noah,

Please set them in these times. In 2021.

A day in the life of a Noahide

Ok, starting the day:

I get up and make myself ready for the day. Then I go to my room which has a seperate prayer space, and put a coin in the tzedaka box. And pray the morning prayers from the booklet of the Divine Code.

And some more prayers, personal prayers and prayers with tears. I pray for the loved ones, for my country, for Israel, for the world, and for everyone who needs a prayer. And read Tehillim after the prayers.

Then there is time for breakfast and go to work. Dressing modest, because that is important. Not only dress the right way, but also being modest in speech and behaviour.

My father and I run an antiquestore. We buy items and sell these. But not only do we sell, but also there is a listening ear or food and drinks for the people who live in the homeless shelter which are our nearby neighbours.

HaShem gave me an ear that can listen to other people who need it. I am so grateful for that. B''H. We also have other costumers at that time in the store, and they are mostly pleasantly surprised. There is also a lovely older lady who stops by to have a chat. She is alone

I'm trying to give every single person a listening ear when they need it. Sometimes there are friendships coming out of it. At the Noahide Conference in 2019 in Jerusalem, I asked for prayers for Carina bat Noach, she was a good friend which I knew from the homeless shelter. Mother of 3. She was very sick at that time.

The store is right at my father's house, so we see eachother regularly. And are becoming very good friends. He is not behind the counter in the store, that's my job just as the webshop. It is important to honor your parents.

We do not sell religious items, because of the belief in HaShem. There is only One G'd!! If we would sell these, like statues orso, we would be guilty of spreading idolatry and also break the First Noahide Commandment of the Belief in G'd. There is another Law which we face in our store and that is the Prohibition Of Theft. We must be honest in pricing the items we sell. Doing our homework right in what the item could be worth, andnot overprice them.

I think it is important to put the Noahide Laws in practice. Always. I try to do my best, bezrat HaShem. Even by walking on the street.  When there is a situation, always be friendly with a smile, and patience. It is sometimes a challenge, I admit!

When the day ends, there is time for the evening prayers, and the parashat of the week. Because after the prayers from the booklet of the Divine Code, there is also room for reading of the weekly parashat in Torah, and other parts of Torah. Teshuva comes in the evening and when needed in the morning too.

I love to learn and love to do my best because He is watching me in a loving way. For a Noahide it is also advisable to have a Rabbi on her/his side. B''H, for the Rabbi who helps me!

Not every day is the same ofcourse, but the prayers are and the effort too.

Noahides, who are they?

Photo: Jerusalem, Jewish quarter.

Noahides are righteous gentiles who believe in HaShem and follow the 7 Noahide Laws. We are all descendants of Noah, so in fact we all can be Noahides.

(After the Great Flood, Noah and his family repopulated the world.)

But there can be a difference. Noahides live a righteous and religious lifestyle. They believe in G-d.

The G-d who created Heaven and earth. Their teachers are Jewish Orthodox rabbinim. From them they learn to live the right way.

They live a modest livestyle. Modesty in speech, behavior and dress is important. A woman looks like a woman and a man looks like a man. No women in menswear or vice versa.

They live according to Noah's 7 Laws. More on that later. It seems not much to have a guideline of only 7 cathegories, but don't be mistaken. These Laws are 7 cathegories and can be divided into many more laws.

The most important books are: the Divine Code by Rabbi Weiner,  and the Tenach. You can order the Divine Code on the AskNoah website. on the photo: the third edition, but there is now a fourth edition which recommended to buy and use. There is also a small prayer booklet for daily prayers. Very handy for in your handbag to take it with you. It includes prayers for meals, morning prayers and evening prayers and more.
